VOM - Volunteer of the Month
Congratulations to
Stacey Pilla
for being our October Volunteer of the Month.
Stacey and her husband Joe have three children. Their oldest, Monet, attends High School and their two younger children attend King's Grant. CJ is in Ms. Jefferson's fourth grade class and Weston is in Ms. Hunter's third grade class.
Mrs. Pilla serves on many committees including PTA Membership and Lynnhaven River Keepers to name just a couple. She is always willing to lend a hand wherever needed and we truly appreciate her.

Volunteers of the Month 2009-2010 school year.
April 2010 - Volunteer of the Month was Chet Silcox.
Mr. Silcox's daughter, Taylor, in Mrs. Murphy's third grade class. Chet is the owner of his own glass and mirror company. He makes time to help out at several of our PTA events and is always willing to chip in at the last minute. Chet and Taylor love to spend time together and enjoy watching racing and going fishing. Thank you Mr. Silcox for volunteering at our school, we appreciate you!
March 2010 - Volunteer of the Month was Beth Lutz.
Beth and her husband, Doug, have a daughter at King's Grant Elementary. Melanie is a third grader in Mrs. Boudreau's class. Mrs. Lutz is active in the PTA and heads up our annual Harvest Festival. Beth volunteers every Tuesday and Thursday morning at the bookstore, is a classroom assistant, and volunteers her time for nearly any other volunteer opportunity.
She enjoys spending time with Doug and Melanie at the beach, skiing, or traveling.

February 2010 - Volunteer of the Month was Daphne Perkins.
Daphne and her husband ,Dana, have two children. Their son Donovan is in Mrs. McGlone's 2nd grade class. While their daughter, Dana, is a KGES alumni, who now attends Great Neck Middle School as a 6th grader. Daphne works as a front office manager for Four Sails Resorts and still finds time to be a classroom assistant and is always willing to pitch where ever she is needed. She is involved in our community as a Girl Scout leader and the entire family is involved with their church. Daphne says what they enjoy most is 'family time'.
